We have spent years riding and exploring different kitesurf spots around the world. We decided to grow roots here because our favourite kitesurfing spot is just walking distance from The Cabanas and Pepo Villa accommodation. It is a beautiful and tranquil beach with no other water traffic to deal with, which means you can truly focus on the task at hand. No coral, no sharks, no sea urchins, no rocks, just sand and perfect water temperature. For beginners you can stick to shallower chest high waters, which really helps reserve energy for learning, rather than constant swimming. It's truly a world top kitesurf destination, with something for everyone. The spot looks different with every tide, which keeps it exciting, every year the island changes shape and so does the playground. We have flat water stretches for freestyle, and small fun waves on the other side of the sand spit for playing with the surf. When the wind kicks in, it really pumps giving consistent hours of riding. We launch from different small islands just off the mainland, so much room to explore, play and experiment. There is an epic 12 kilometer downwinder from the next island village, which has bars and restaurants, so it's a fun day out, and an awesome ride home. The sun sets right over our kite spot, so we ride well into the evening in golden water! Magic!

THE SEASONS

During the Kuzi trade wind months (June - August) we kitesurf right outside the Kite School at The Cabanas, pre-breakfast rides to full moon sessions. During the Kaskazi trade wind months (Dec. to March) we kite in the afternoons at our open ocean playground. We love the kitesurf experience here and look forward to hosting you on & off the water!
